"In My Heart" is also the theme song from The Shape of the Future, a SFCG-produced documentary film about the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Also you can see several other references throughout the video to this being from TV. The magic stick allowed Gabby and Debby to travel anywhere and anytime, as long as they had a map of that location.
There are both English and Hebrew subtitles for those of you who can't understand Hebrew and want to know what they're saying.

I started learning Hebrew 7 months ago and this is what I could do with what I learned those 7 months and a little help of the google translater. So I'm sure there are mistakes in my translation. Feel free to correct me. I made this video and placed it on youtube because I want to learn from my mistakes. Just be a little nice ;) I know in the end, in one sentence it says 'lookin' instead of 'looking'. I did this because otherwise the sentence didn't fit ;)

The lyrics came from a poem written in 1878. The music was written in 1888.
Six decades later, in 1948, the Jews fought successfully to finally reclaim their homeland. Their hope had lasted twenty centuries.

Ul(e)faatei mizrach kadimah,
Ayin letziyon tzofiyah;
Od lo avdah tikvateinu,
Hatikvah bat shnot alpayim,

A Jewish soul still yearns,
