Demonstrate the importance of respecting and visiting the elderly. At Greenwich Woods nursing home, families will join residents in planting plants and decorating pots for Tu B'Shvat. One plant will go home with the family and the other will stay with the resident. Also enjoy a nut-free "mini-Tu B'Shvat seder" featuring tree fruits. Next, an esteemed childhood educator who selects PJ Library books will present Deborah Lakritz’s book, Say Hello, Lily, whose young protagonist develops compassion for seniors as they help her to overcome shyness. No charge for this event; rsvp appreciated as materials will be provided. Co-Sponsored with UJA Federation of Greenwich Women’s Philanthropy and Jewish Family Services of Greenwich.
